The management of the Sutherland Shire Environment Centre’s activities is the responsibility of its elected Board members.
We are an incorporated Association, guided by a constitution and governed by a Board elected by members at the Annual General Meeting.
The objectives of the Sutherland Shire Environment Centre are to:
- act to defend the environment of the Sutherland Shire and associated bio-regions, by supporting members, local communities and community organisations in their efforts to protect and improve their local areas
- develop and conduct environmental education initiatives, to encourage change to achieve a sustainable environment in the Sutherland Shire and its bio-regions.

The SSEC’s administrative functions are managed by our Executive Officer, Catherine Reynolds
