Parliamentary Debate – Protect Woronora dam & our water supply!

– the long overdue parliamentary debate – 10,690 people have signed a petition to protect our water and stop the mining under Woronora Reservoir and our ‘Special Area’ catchment. Now we’re waiting on the politicians to step up and do the right thing.

We have been advised that parliament will still be sitting despite the coronavirus, and the debate will be taking place, but that the public gallery will now be closed.

Sutherland Shire Environment Centre and POWA – Protect Our Water Alliance members and supporters were hoping to meeting outside NSW Parliament prior to the debate, and watch it from the public gallery, but we need to make sure everyone stays safe. It’s a difficult time for us all.
